Wonder Con programming materializes, and we're plotting our star chart.
Comic convention season is officially in full swing, and we're mere weeks away from our next stop. WonderCon features 900+ exhibitors, packing in a 412,000-square-foot exhibit hall. If it's anything like last year, you can bet we'll find some glorious short boxes jammed with dollar comics. Yet, at this moment, we're most excited about the programming, which just dropped the other day.
We've spent the last several hours pouring through WonderCon's three-day event, and two panels immediately jumped to our Trekkie attention. Paramount+ is bringing it this year, providing not one but two Star Trek panels devoted to Strange New Worlds and Discovery. There's no way we're missing those, so prepare your social media feeds for future CBCC bombardment.
When Star Trek: Discovery premiered a few years ago, CBCC was at the height of our Star Trek fandom. The series has had its highs and lows, but those highs remain at the top of our favorite Star Trek moments. We've traveled thousands of miles to cover these characters and will not stop now. We honestly cannot believe the series is preparing for its bon voyage. So, we're ready to set sail across the stars wherever the show ends.
Star Trek: Strange New Worlds began as a nostalgic play, and yet it's grown into its own beautiful corner of the franchise. Special bonus: their panel is a sing-a-long! We can't resist a sing-a-long, and it will probably bring us to tears. Bold tears, but tears nonetheless.

Star Trek Programming at WonderCon

CBS Studios and Paramount+ invite you to join them for the first ever Star Trek sing-along screening of the “Star Trek: Strange New Worlds'' musical episode, “Subspace Rhapsody'' followed by a moderated Q&A with songwriters Tom Polce and Kay Hanley, also of Letters to Cleo fame, where they will discuss writing the songs for Star Trek’s first ever musical episode.
