'Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves' Rolls True

We review the new fantasy adventure and find a film that's unapologetically and beautifully absurd.

"Journey to an age of great kingdoms. An age of awesome magic. An age of terrifying evil. Where one man sought the key to the ultimate power." No! We're not talking about the brilliantly produced Roger Corman fantasy Deathstalker; we're discussing Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves!

Once again, over on our Patreon, we jump in the car directly after watching the movie and hit record. These short little review bursts are some of our favorite conversations because they tend to get off their rails while the car remains glued to the road. No wrecks were caused in the process. Not physically, anyway.

In this discussion, Lisa questions Brad's CGI criticisms and his compulsive need to "FEEL THINGS." We celebrate how the film balances comedy and world-building, beautifully and unapologetically unfurling an absurd world. Also, is Chris Pine the best Chris? Are Paladins indeed as cool as their strut suggests? Fish-eating cats, is anything funnier than that?

As always, our Comically Reel Ride-Along review is Spoiler-Filled! So, please don't listen to this episode unless you want to know exactly how it all goes down in Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves. Hugh Grant cannot be contained!

Ultimately, Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves is simply a damn good time at the movies. Listen to us rave chaotically about it RIGHT HERE.
